Product Details
From recliner to standing — at the touch of a button. The Pride Genesis LC-150 is a traditional 3-position power lift recliner. A single smooth motion moves the chair through three positions — upright sitting, a comfortable TV/reading recline, and a full reclined chaise — with the back and chaise footrest moving in tandem. When you’re ready to stand, the chair gently tilts forward to lift you toward a standing position, taking the strain out of getting up.
Three preset recline positions
The Genesis moves through three thoughtfully designed positions to match how you use the chair through the day. Sit fully upright for reading or conversation, ease back into a relaxed TV-watching recline, or settle into the full reclined chaise position for resting. The fully padded chaise extends to support your legs the whole way, with no gap behind the knees.
- Three positions — upright sitting, TV/reading recline, and full reclined chaise
- Full chaise leg support — padded footrest extends with no gap behind the knees
- Back and chaise move in tandem — one smooth, simple reclining motion
- Smooth lift-to-stand — chair tilts forward to ease getting up
- Easy-to-use hand wand — simple toggle control with magnetic holder and USB charging port
Built for daily comfort
The Genesis isn’t a chair you sit in for 20 minutes — it’s a chair you spend hours in. Padded back panels, generous arm rests, and a contoured seat that supports your hips without pressure points. Pride engineered the upholstery to handle daily use across years of operation: standard fabrics are durable polyester blends; vinyl is available as an upgrade.
- Generous padded back — supports your spine through long sitting sessions
- USB charging port on the hand control — keep your phone topped up while you relax
- Available in 5+ fabric colors — see the Fabric variant selector
- Standard size fits users 5'4" to 6'0" (petite and tall variants available; call for pricing)
- 325 lb weight capacity
Built for everyday life
Real-world reasons to choose the Genesis:
- Recovery support — the powered lift-to-stand takes the strain out of getting up while you heal
- Mobility transition — for users who can stand with assistance but struggle to push out of a normal chair
- All-day comfort — the full chaise keeps your legs supported through long sitting sessions
- Long-term daily seating — the chair where you read, watch TV, eat dinner, and unwind
- Caregiver-supported users — the lift-to-stand reduces caregiver lifting strain
Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or just want a more comfortable seat that helps you stand on your own, the Pride Genesis gives you back your independence at the touch of a button.

Brisa® fabric by Ultrafabrics®
Golden Technologies' luxury upholstery option — described by Golden as the world's first breathable polyurethane fabric. It offers the refined look of leather in a soft, breathable, temperate material that won't stick to you or feel too hot or cold.
Brisa is scratch-resistant, easy to clean and disinfect, and tested to 300,000 double rubs for durability. Golden backs Brisa fabrics with a Lifetime Warranty covering original defects in materials and workmanship (per Golden's warranty terms).
The Pride Genesis LC-150 is the value-oriented chair in Pride’s lift-recliner range — a traditional 3-position power lift recliner priced below the higher-end VivaLift series. For most buyers who want a dependable powered lift-to-stand and a comfortable full-chaise recline, it’s the right balance of feature set, comfort, and price.
As a 3-position recliner, the Genesis moves through three preset positions — upright sitting, TV/reading recline, and a full reclined chaise — with the back and chaise footrest moving in tandem on a single mechanism. Buyers who need a true infinite-position chair like the Pride VivaLift, which reclines further and moves the back and legs separately, should step up to that line instead.
Lift-to-stand is smoother on the Genesis than on cheaper lift chairs because the chair’s tilt arc is engineered to keep your weight over the chair frame instead of pitching you forward at the end. The result is a more confident exit — especially for users who’ve fallen during transfers in the past.
Padding and upholstery are durable, not luxurious. Standard Heritage fabrics are polyester blends rated for daily 8+ hour use. Leather is available as an upgrade if your home decor requires it. The chair carries a 325 lb weight capacity — heavier users should look at a heavy-duty lift chair such as the Pride Atlas.
Wall-hugger design is available as an option (specify at order); the standard chair needs about 18" of clearance behind. For apartments or small living rooms, choose the wall-hugger variant.

FAQ
The Pride Genesis 3-Position Power Lift Chair Recliner comes in two sizes to fit different body types. The Small size is recommended for users 5'3" and below, while the Medium size is designed for users between 5'4" and 5'9". Both sizes support a weight capacity of up to 325 lbs.
The Pride Genesis 3-Position Power Lift Chair Recliner can be customized with five fabric choices: Sophie Cabernet, Sophie Latte, Sophie Sapphire, Sophie Shale, or the popular Lexis Chestnut. This allows you to match the chair to your existing home decor while still getting the comfort and functionality you need.
The Pride Genesis 3-Position Power Lift Chair Recliner includes an easy-to-use toggle hand control that manages both the back and chaise positions together (they move in tandem). The control comes with a magnetic holder on both sides of the chair, so whether you're left- or right-handed, you can always keep the remote within easy reach and avoid misplacing it.
The Genesis is a 3-position recliner with a full reclined chaise position and padded leg support, which many users find comfortable for resting and napping. However, it is NOT a lie-flat or zero-gravity chair and does not recline to a fully horizontal bed position — the back and chaise move together through positions. For overnight sleeping in a flat position, an adjustable bed or a true infinite-position chair (such as a Pride VivaLift) would be more appropriate.
Unlike a standard recliner, the Pride Genesis 3-Position Power Lift Chair Recliner features a powered lift mechanism that gently tilts forward to help users safely stand up or sit down with minimal strain. It also offers full chaise padding for pressure-point relief and an three preset reclining positions controlled via a handheld toggle, making it especially beneficial for seniors or individuals with limited mobility.
Most products ship fully assembled or require minimal assembly. Some larger items (lift chairs, hospital beds) are delivered ready to use with White Glove delivery. Contact us if you have questions about a specific product.
Return eligibility depends on the product. Several categories — including lift chairs, power chairs (if used), mobility scooters (unless otherwise stated), patient lifts, replacement parts & batteries, and certain personal-care items — are generally non-returnable once shipped, and eligible returns may carry restocking and freight charges. Please call us before ordering and we'll make sure you get the right product the first time.
