The Golden PR-535 MaxiComforter is a 2-Zone MaxiComfort power lift recliner offered in six sizes, from Petite/Small through Large/Wide. Golden designed the PR-535 around fit: seat width, depth, height, back height, and weight capacity change by size so customers can choose a chair that better matches the user instead of relying on a one-size configuration.
The PR-535 combines patented MaxiComfort positioning with Golden's programmable AutoDrive hand control, a chaise seat, quick-release back, SmartTek diagnostics, and USA manufacturing. Standard Easy Living chenille fabrics feature Golden's SofTouch finish with Stain Defense coating.

Seating and Upholstery
The Petite/Small, Medium, Large, and Tall versions include Golden's pocketed coil seat. The Medium/Wide and Large/Wide use a different heavy-duty seat construction and do not list pocketed coil seating in Golden's current specifications.
Standard Easy Living fabric choices are Anchor, Bittersweet, Oxford, Port, and Sandstorm. Golden describes this chenille upholstery as featuring its SofTouch finish with Stain Defense coating. Crossover fabrics may carry an additional charge.
Battery Backup by Size
Battery backup differs by model size:
- Petite/Small, Medium, Large, and Tall: 9-volt battery backup.
- Medium/Wide and Large/Wide: Lithium-ion battery backup.
Battery backup is intended for temporary operation during a household power interruption and should not be treated as a substitute for normal AC power.
Optional Heat and Massage
Golden's current PR-535 specification sheet lists Deluxe Therapeutic Heat & Vibrating Massage as the available heat and massage upgrade across all six sizes.
Golden does not list HeatWave, Nirvana with HeatWave, an articulating headrest, or power lumbar as options on the current PR-535 specification sheet.

It depends on the size you choose. The four standard sizes — Petite/Small, Medium, Large and Tall — are each rated for up to 400 lb. If you need more room and more support, the two wide sizes go higher: Medium/Wide is built for 500 lb and Large/Wide for 600 lb. Picking the size that matches your height and frame gives you the right seat and the right capacity together.
The PR-535 comes in six sizes across Golden's Small-to-Tall range, so you can match the chair to you instead of settling for a one-size guess. Petite/Small fits 5'0"–5'3", Medium fits 5'3"–5'7", Large fits 5'7"–6'0", and Tall fits 6'0"–6'4". The two wide sizes add hip room: Medium/Wide suits 5'5"–5'10" and Large/Wide suits 5'10"–6'2". This is an infinite-position recliner with Golden's patented MaxiComfort positioning and Comfort Zone 2 control, so you can recline to any angle you like rather than settle for a few fixed stops. The AutoDrive programmable hand control lets you save the positions you use most and return to them with one touch. You sit on a pocketed coil spring seat wrapped in soft Easy Living chenille, offered in five stain-defense colors. You can also add the Deluxe Therapeutic Heat & Vibration Massage upgrade or move up to Brisa performance fabric — just ask when you order (HeatWave and Nirvana are not offered on this model).
Yes. The PR-535 includes battery backup, so if the power goes out the lift can still raise you up and out of the chair. It's there for exactly that situation, so it's a good idea to keep a fresh battery installed.
Every PR-535 ships with free curbside delivery, and inside or white-glove delivery upgrades are available if you'd like it brought in and set up for you. The chair is made in the USA and backed by Golden's warranty: lifetime coverage on the frame and lift mechanism, three years on electrical parts, and one year on electrical labor.
