How much weight does the PLR-5900 support, and who is it sized to fit?

The VivaLift! Premier PLR-5900 supports up to 400 lbs and is recommended for people roughly 5'5" to 6'0" tall. It has a 23"-wide seat with 21" of seat depth, so it comfortably fits medium-to-larger frames. If your height sits near the top or bottom of that range, it's worth confirming the fit before you order.

How far does it recline, and can I nap in it?

Yes. The Premier uses True-Infinite Positioning, so the headrest, backrest, power lumbar, and footrest each adjust independently—you can sit upright to read, ease back to watch TV, or lean into a flat, nap-ready position. Its exclusive VivaLift!® Tilt raises your knees above your heart for a weightless-feeling recline, and a programmable memory button returns you to your favorite position with one touch.

Does it have heat and massage, and what about the built-in audio?

It does. An air bladder massage system gently applies pressure to your lower back, and a three-zone heat system places heating pads in the shoulders, lumbar, and seat, each controlled independently from buttons in the armrest. The Premier also includes Pride's Immersive Audio™ Bluetooth® speaker system with cinematic vibration, so you can wirelessly connect your TV, phone, or tablet and adjust volume, bass, treble, and vibration right from the armrest.

What happens if the power goes out while I'm in the chair?

The PLR-5900 has a built-in lithium battery backup. If the power goes out, it keeps the chair working long enough to lower the footrest and lift you to a standing position, so you're never left stuck reclined. You'll also find a hideaway wireless phone charger plus USB-A and USB-C ports built in to keep your devices charged.

What warranty, delivery, and setup options come with it?

The Premier is backed by Pride's 7-Year Pro-rated warranty and includes a 1-Year In-Home service contract at no charge, with optional 2-Year (+$179) or 3-Year (+$275) coverage. For delivery you can choose free curbside drop-off, Inside Delivery (+$199) to the room of your choice, or White Glove Delivery (+$299) with full setup and packaging removal—handy since the chair weighs 232 lbs. Does this product require assembly?

Most products ship fully assembled or require minimal assembly. Some larger items (lift chairs, hospital beds) are delivered ready to use with White Glove delivery. Contact us at (803) 926-1493 if you have questions about a specific product.

Return eligibility depends on the product. Several categories — including lift chairs, power chairs, mobility scooters, and certain personal-care items — are non-returnable or subject to restocking and freight charges.
