The Golden PR-531 Comforter is the 3-position version of Golden's long-running Comforter Series — the "Small-to-Tall" collection sized to fit users from 5'0″ to 6'4″ with a 400 lb capacity in every size. Made in the USA with Golden's Signature Seat, USB charging port, and lifetime frame warranty.
What "3-position" means (Comfort Zone 1)
The PR-531 has one motor that operates the back and leg rest together to your favorite positions for TV/rest/sleep. This is different from the PR-535 MaxiComforter which has two independently-controlled motors (Comfort Zone 2). The PR-531 costs less and is mechanically simpler — ideal for users who don't need infinite-position adjustment.

Lift chairs are custom-built to your fabric and option choices — allow 30–45 days for made-to-order builds. Fabrics marked “In-Stock Program” are part of Golden’s stocked upholstery program.

The PR-531 Comforter is rated for users up to 400 lbs across the five standard sizes. The Medium/Wide and Tall/Wide sizes are rated up to 500 lbs — both are available in the Size menu on this page.
The PR-531 comes in seven sizes so the seat matches your body. Petite/Small fits 5'0″–5'3″, Medium fits 5'3″–5'7″, Large fits 5'7″–6'0″, and Tall fits 6'0″–6'4″. Small/Wide (23″ seat), Medium/Wide (27″ seat, 500 lb) and Tall/Wide (29″ seat, 500 lb) round out the range. The standard seat measures 21″ wide by 19″ deep, and the chair stands about 41″ tall.
They're the heavy-duty builds of the same chair, each rated to 500 lbs and driven by dual lift motors. The Medium/Wide has a 27″ seat in a 38″-wide frame, and the Tall/Wide has a 29″ seat in a 40″-wide frame with a 22″ floor-to-seat height. Pick either one from the Size menu on this page.
The PR-531 is a single-motor chair: one motor moves the back and leg rest together through three positions — a TV/reading recline, a lounge recline, and a near-flat sleep recline. Every chair includes Golden's Signature Seat with a pocketed-coil cushion, SofTouch with Stain Defense fabric, and a USB charging port. If you'd like it, you can add a Deluxe Therapeutic Heat & Vibration Massage upgrade — just call to include it on your order. It comes in five standard chenille colors: Anchor, Bittersweet, Oxford, Port, and Sandstorm.
The PR-531 has a battery backup built in. If your power goes out, you can still operate the lift to bring the chair back to the upright standing position. The battery backup is meant for occasional emergency use rather than everyday operation.
The PR-531 is covered by Golden's warranty: a lifetime warranty on the frame and lift mechanism, 3 years on electrical parts, and 1 year on electrical labor. It's made in the USA and ships as a special order (product weight about 125 lbs; ships at about 169 lbs).
