The Golden Technologies PR442 Rhea is a 4-Zone MaxiComfort infinite-position power lift recliner in Medium and Large sizes, with a 400 lb weight capacity and HeatWave Far-Infrared heat included as standard. It is a Class II Medical Device.

If getting up from a chair has become the hardest part of your day, the Golden PR-442 Rhea is built to take that effort off you. It is a power lift recliner that raises you up gently when you want to stand.

The Rhea uses Golden's patented 4-Zone MaxiComfort system. You control the headrest, lumbar, backrest, and footrest, and each zone moves on its own. The Infinite Position range lets you stop at any angle. Sit upright, lie back in a deep recline, or pause anywhere between. HeatWave Far-Infrared heat is included as standard, so the gentle warmth is built in with no upgrade to add.

How much weight does the Rhea hold, and which size should I pick?

The PR-442 Rhea holds users up to 400 pounds. It comes in two sizes so you can match it to your height: the Medium is built for people about 5'5" to 5'10", and the Large is built for about 5'10" to 6'2". Choose the size closest to your height so the seat and headrest line up with your body. The Medium seat measures 22 inches wide by 21 inches deep; the Large widens to 24 inches by 22 inches deep.

What comfort positions and features does it have?

The Rhea uses Golden's patented 4-Zone MaxiComfort system, so you power the headrest, lumbar, backrest, and footrest independently and get support right where you want it. The Infinite Position range lets you stop at any angle, from fully upright to a deep recline, or use the lift position to be raised gently toward standing. A programmable AutoDrive hand control saves your favorite positions so you can return to them at the touch of a button. You also get a wireless phone charger and USB port, a cup holder and storage in the right arm, and a removable LED reading light and tray table.

Does the Rhea include heat and massage?

HeatWave Far-Infrared heat is built into the Rhea as standard equipment, so the gentle warmth is included with no upgrade to add. This model does not have a massage function or additional heat-and-massage upgrades — the built-in HeatWave heat is its comfort feature. If a massage function is a must-have for you, just ask our team and we can help you compare other Golden models.

Will the chair still work during a power outage?

Yes. The Rhea includes a lithium battery backup, so if the power goes out the chair will still operate. That means it can lower the footrest and raise you to a standing position, so you are not left stuck if the electricity drops.
