Operating Range

The operating range, or the distance a power wheelchair can operate on a single battery charge, can be a factor for some - especially those who use their power wheelchair to visit around the neighborhood, or go shopping. This category breaks it down into three ranges:

• Short range - less than 10 miles on a single battery charge.
• Average range - between 10 miles and less than 20 miles on a single battery charge.
• Extended range - 20 miles and above on a single battery charge.
