Overview
The Strutt ev¹ is a Smart Everyday Vehicle — a personal mobility vehicle engineered more like a compact electric car than like traditional mobility equipment.
Why the ev¹ is different
- evSense 360° vision — a multi-sensor system with AI that reads the space around you and drives the Co-Pilot assistance features.
- Quad-Drive — four motors (rear motors rated 500 W each, 1,000 W peak) with four-wheel independent suspension for traction indoors and out.
- Long-range LFP battery — included — 32 V / 20 Ah / 640 Wh lithium iron phosphate, chosen for thermal stability and long service life. Recharges to 80% in about 2 hours.
- Three driving modes tuned for everyday, performance and indoor use.
- Over-the-air updates — the platform keeps improving after you take delivery.
- Back-up camera and touchscreen with a real-time map, plus adaptive headlights.
- Modular by design — separates into five modules including the battery, with a heaviest piece of about 43.7 lb.
Range, stated honestly
Strutt rates the ev¹ at up to 20 miles with evSense deactivated and 16.2 miles with evSense active, measured from a full 640 Wh battery at 20°C with a 91 kg load at a constant 4 mph on smooth, level, hard ground. Your real-world range will differ with rider weight, terrain, temperature and which systems you leave switched on.
Assisted driving — what it does, and what it does not do
Co-Pilot provides obstacle detection and collision-prevention assistance, and Co-Pilot+ adds steering assistance. These are driver-assistance systems: they are designed to reduce risk, not to eliminate it, and they do not make the ev¹ autonomous. The rider remains responsible for operating the vehicle safely at all times and should follow Strutt’s operating and safety instructions.

The ev¹ supports riders up to 350 lb. The seat adjusts across three widths (17.4–20.4 in), six seat heights (15.7–19.7 in) and three backrest angles (13–19°), with three armrest heights. The vehicle is 41.2 in long and 23.0–26.0 in wide depending on the seat-width setting, with a turning radius of about 30.7 in — so it is worth measuring your doorways and tightest turns. Call us before ordering if you are unsure.
Strutt rates it at up to 20 miles with evSense deactivated, and 16.2 miles with evSense active, from a full 640 Wh battery at 20°C with a 91 kg load at a constant 4 mph on smooth, level ground. Top speed is 8 mph. Real-world range varies with rider weight, terrain, temperature and which systems are running.
Not the included one. The ev¹ ships with the 640 Wh long-range battery, which is built for maximum range and is not the travel battery. Strutt sells a separate 288 Wh Flight-safe Battery sized for airline carriage — note that with the Flight-safe battery fitted, Speed Level S (8 mph) is not supported. Airlines set their own rules for lithium batteries and mobility devices, so always confirm with your carrier before you fly.
Every ev¹ includes the long-range 640 Wh LFP battery, the Fast Charger, and Seat Storage — the compartment under the seat. You do not need to buy any of them. We also list the battery and charger individually so you can order a spare. Everything else — Flight-safe Battery, Side Storage, Rear Storage, Phone & Cup Mount, Smart Push Handle and Extended Backrest — is a genuine add-on.
It separates into five modules including the battery, with the heaviest module weighing about 43.7 lb. Ground clearance is 3.1 in and the vehicle is rated IPX5 for weather, with an IPX6 battery.
No. evSense and Co-Pilot are driver-assistance systems — they provide obstacle detection and collision-prevention assistance, and Co-Pilot+ adds steering assistance. They are designed to reduce risk, not remove it, and the rider stays responsible for operating the vehicle safely. The ev¹ is not a medical device.
Strutt covers the main frame (chassis, arm and seat) for 60 months against structural manufacturing defects. The battery and charger carry 12 months each, and the powertrain and electrical components — motor modules, screen, joystick, sensors, LiDAR, camera, lights and control modules — and the front and rear suspension are each covered for 12 months. Wear items such as wheels, foot guards, seatbelt, cushions and upholstery are covered dead-on-arrival only.
Free curbside drop-ship is included. You can upgrade to Lift Gate Zero Threshold delivery for $199, or Full Service Delivery + Setup for $499, on the configuration panel above. The ev¹ is available to order. Strutt has not published a current shipping window, so we confirm delivery timing with them for every order — call (803) 926-1493 and we will tell you where things stand before you commit.
Most products ship fully assembled or require minimal assembly. Some larger items (lift chairs, hospital beds) are delivered ready to use with White Glove delivery. Contact us at (803) 926-1493 if you have questions about a specific product.
Return eligibility depends on the product. Several categories — including lift chairs, power chairs, mobility scooters, and certain personal-care items — are non-returnable or subject to restocking and freight charges. Please call (803) 926-1493 before ordering and we'll make sure you get the right product the first time.
