The Flight-safe Battery is the ev¹'s travel pack: 288 Wh of lithium iron phosphate, sized under the 300 Wh threshold that applies to mobility-device batteries so it can be carried on passenger flights.
- 288 Wh LFP — phosphate chemistry for thermal stability.
- Built for travel — the pack to fly with, rather than the 640 Wh long-range battery included with your ev¹.
- Shorter range than the 640 Wh pack — it holds roughly 45% of the energy, so plan a shorter day out.
Two things to know before you buy. With the Flight-safe Battery fitted, Speed Level S (8 mph) is not supported. And while this battery is built to the size limit airlines work to, every carrier sets its own rules for lithium batteries and mobility devices — confirm with your airline before you travel. The 640 Wh long-range battery included with the ev¹ is not a flight battery.
