Product overview

The Golden Buzzaround CarryOn HD (GB220) is a fold-flat travel scooter with a 400 lb weight capacity. It keeps the CarryOn's portability — fold it, stand it on its kickstand, or lift the 52.5 lb main body into a trunk — while giving larger riders a full-size seat and more leg room than typical lightweight travel scooters.

Capacity and seating

400 lb weight capacity. Full-size stadium-style seat, 16" wide × 18" deep, with width-adjustable armrests and textured soft-touch arm pads. The deck is sized for full foot and leg room.

Portability

  • Folds to about 14" high with the seat removed; a built-in kickstand lets it stand upright for storage.
  • 77.5 lb fully assembled. Main body 52.5 lb (the heaviest piece), seat with arms 20 lb, each battery 5 lb.
  • Remove the seat and batteries before lifting; nothing has to be lifted assembled.

Batteries and range

Two removable lithium-ion batteries are included: a 12.5 Ah battery (up to 14.2 miles) and a 6.5 Ah spare (up to 7.4 miles), for a combined technical range of 21.6 miles, which Golden rounds to "up to 22 miles". Range is rated under Golden's test conditions and falls with rider weight, terrain, speed and battery age. The rear basket doubles as the spare-battery holder.

The batteries remove for travel by air, cruise and train. Airline rules for lithium batteries change; confirm the current mobility-device and battery policy with your airline before you fly.

Drive, terrain and lighting

  • Brushless motor; 4.29 mph maximum speed; 48.75" turning radius.
  • 4.63" under-deck ground clearance (about 2.3" at the transaxle/motor); 7.25" front and 8.25" rear tires.
  • Front and rear LED lights, LED battery indicator, USB-A and USB-C charging ports on the tiller.

Colors

Blacked-out styling with interchangeable color shrouds. Standard: Velvet Red or Coastal Blue. Optional shrouds: Crisp White, Canary Yellow, Stone Grey, Orchid Pink, Desert Tan, Army Green.

    Nice Unit

    Thank you for the prompt delivery and unboxing video on YouTube. I've been watching Chris on YouTube for a long time and finally purchased the GB220. With my weight gaining i needed a heavy duty scooter but i wasn't able to take the take apart the scooters that could hold my weight. I'm able to load this into my van with lifting the front part of the scooter and i can take the battery inside to charge. The battery is lightweight, making it easy for me to take it inside to charge.
