The Golden XR Extended Range 24Ah lithium-ion battery is the higher-capacity battery option for the Golden Buzzaround XL+ 4-Wheel mobility scooter, model GB152. Golden's current GB152 literature lists both 12Ah and 24Ah lithium-ion battery configurations, with an operating range of up to 9.2 miles with the standard battery and up to 18 miles with the extended-range battery.

Range Varies in Real-World Use
Golden states that battery range is affected by rider weight, drive surface, terrain, and battery type. The published 18-mile figure is a maximum test result, not a guaranteed real-world distance. Hills, soft surfaces, frequent starts and stops, temperature, rider weight, and battery condition can reduce range.
Air Travel Important Notice
The 24Ah extended-range battery should not be assumed to be airline travel approved. Golden identifies the standard GB152 battery system as lithium-ion, and airline rules for mobility-device lithium batteries are based on the battery's watt-hour rating and how it is installed or transported.
FAA guidance limits removed or spare lithium-ion mobility-device batteries to 300 watt-hours (Wh). A 24V, 24Ah battery is approximately 576Wh, which exceeds that limit. Airline policies may also be more restrictive. If air travel is planned, confirm the battery label, scooter configuration, and airline requirements before traveling.
