The pole tension-mounts between the floor and a flat ceiling measuring 7' to 9'6" tall, and it adjusts in height within that range. It is designed for flat, level surfaces only — such as bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, and stair landings.
No drilling is required. The 1.5" zinc-plated steel pole braces securely in place using a tension-mounted system between your floor and ceiling. Hardware is also included if you would rather hard-mount it for a permanent installation.
