It gives you a sturdy 30-inch powder-coated steel rail at the side of the bed — something dependable to hold onto while you sit up, get in, or get out of bed, plus a raised guard along the bedside. It supports up to 300 lbs and meets the ASTM F3186-17 safety standard for adult portable bed rails.
The rail is designed for traditional, non-adjustable beds and is not compatible with adjustable base beds. It slides between your mattress and box spring or bed slats and straps to the frame, so it works with common bed sizes from twin up to California King. Extra-soft mattresses are not recommended — if you're unsure about yours, give us a call before ordering.
Setup is tool-free: slide the base between your mattress and box spring or bed slats, then secure it to the bedframe with the included safety strap. When a caregiver needs full access to the bed, pivot the rail down 180 degrees to lay it flat. At about 12 lbs, it's easy to move between rooms whenever you need it.
