600 lb Heavy-Duty Weight Capacity
The biggest advantage of the Pinnacle SL600HD is its 600 lb weight capacity.
It is designed for users who may need more capacity, seating room, or stability than a traditional stair lift can provide. The heavy-duty design includes a reinforced footrest, sturdy armrests, and an extra-wide seat to provide additional support during everyday use.
Extra-Wide, High-Back Seat
Comfort is especially important when choosing a heavy-duty stair lift.
The SL600HD features an 18.75" wide x 14" deep seat along with a 16.5" x 17.5" high backrest. The contoured seating provides additional support, while the stationary armrests give the user sturdy handholds when getting into or out of the chair.
Unique Slide-Swivel Seat
One of our favorite features of the SL600HD is Harmar's slide-swivel seat.
Instead of simply rotating in place, the seat pivots 85° while sliding away from the wall. This creates additional room for the user to get on or off the stair lift while still allowing the unit to be installed closer to the wall.
The seat can swivel at both the top and bottom landings, making transfers easier and more accessible for users with limited mobility.
Built-In Safety Features
The Harmar SL600HD incorporates multiple safety features to help provide a secure ride:

- Footrest obstruction sensors
- Chassis obstruction sensors

If the footrest or chassis encounters an obstruction while the stair lift is moving, the safety sensors are designed to stop the lift.

The SL600HD uses Harmar's patented nylon polymer gear rack and helical worm gear drive system.
The low-friction design eliminates maintenance associated with lubricating the track while also helping extend battery operation during a power outage. That means no greasy track running alongside your staircase and less routine maintenance.

SL600HD vs. Standard Stair Lifts
The SL600HD is an excellent option when a traditional stair lift doesn't provide enough capacity or seating space.
Compared with the Harmar SL300's 300 lb capacity, the SL600HD doubles the weight capacity to 600 lbs while providing a wider seat, high backrest, reinforced footrest, heavy-duty armrests, and the slide-swivel seating system.
If the user doesn't require the additional capacity and seating room, the SL300 may be the more compact choice. But when higher capacity, additional room, and transfer stability are priorities, the SL600HD is designed specifically for those needs.
