Gateway 3G is engineered for the in-between scenario: too long for a Suitcase to carry comfortably, too temporary to justify pouring concrete or building a permanent wood ramp. The aluminum frame is rated for 1,000 lb (capacity for a 350 lb rider on a 600 lb power chair), with built-in side curbs that keep small caster wheels and walking-aid tips from rolling off the edge.
The slip-resistant top surface is the same extruded aluminum profile EZ-ACCESS uses on its commercial Pathway products. It works equally well dry, wet, snowy, or with leaf debris on it. The ramp ships flat and in one piece for lengths up to 6 ft; 7 ft and longer ship in two pieces for transit and assemble in minutes with included hardware.
Three handrail options accommodate three buyers: those with existing porch rails (no-rail), those wanting basic egress hand-hold (two-line), and those needing full child-safe enclosed rails (vertical picket).

Lifetime Frame Warranty
EZ-ACCESS warrants the Gateway 3G aluminum frame against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original residential purchaser. Surface treatments, handrails, and hardware are warranted for one (1) year from purchase. Powder-coated and Safeguard Hi-Traction surface finishes are not covered against fading or normal wear.
Excluded: damage from impact, exceeding rated capacity, modification, commercial overuse, or vehicle traffic. Replacement parts (transition plates, hardware kits, handrail sections) are available as paid items.

Shipping & Delivery
Free curbside delivery in the continental US. Lengths 3-6 ft typically ship UPS Ground / FedEx Ground (5-10 business days). Lengths 7 ft and longer require LTL freight with adult signature on delivery (10-14 business days).
Handrail-equipped configurations always ship LTL freight regardless of length. The handrails ship knocked-down and bolt onto the ramp with the included hardware in 15-30 minutes — no special tools needed.

The Gateway 3G Portable Solid-Surface Ramp is rated for 1000 lb working load. This covers the rider plus the device they're rolling. Stay below 90% of the rated capacity for safety on regular use.
ADA recommends a 1:12 slope (12 inches of ramp per inch of rise). For independent wheelchair use, 1:12 is the safety minimum. For caregiver-pushed transfers, 1:8 to 1:10 is workable. Measure the rise (height of step or threshold) and multiply by 8-12 to size your ramp length.
Most portable ramps fold to roughly 12-15" wide once collapsed, which fits through standard 32-36" doorways with room to spare. Verify the folded dimensions in the spec table for your length choice.
Yes — aluminum ramps don't rust and the slip-resistant tread handles rain, snow, and freeze/thaw cycles. For coastal salt-air environments, occasionally rinse the frame with fresh water to prevent salt buildup. Lifetime warranty covers frame integrity.
Most EZ-ACCESS ramps include holes for optional concrete anchors (sold separately). For permanent installs, anchor the bottom to a concrete pad and the top to the threshold. For temporary use, the slip-resistant rubber base pads keep it stable on most surfaces without anchoring.
