Pride Mobility Baja Bandit Pneumatic Tire Conversion
Want a smoother ride on your Pride Mobility Baja Bandit? Although the Baja Bandit comes standard with maintenance-free solid tires, owners can convert to pneumatic (air-filled) tires for improved ride comfort.
Solid Tires vs. Pneumatic Tires on the Baja Bandit
The Pride Mobility Baja Bandit comes standard with solid tires. One of the biggest advantages of solid tires is reliability—they don't require air, and you never have to worry about a flat.
The tradeoff is ride quality. Because solid tires have very little give, they can create a firmer ride over rough pavement, gravel, cracks, and uneven terrain. The Baja Bandit's front and rear suspension and suspension seat help absorb bumps, but switching to pneumatic tires can provide an even softer and more comfortable ride.
Baja Bandit Pneumatic Tire Conversion
To convert your Baja Bandit from solid tires to pneumatic tires, you will need both the pneumatic tire and inner tube.

Both components are required when initially converting from the factory solid tire setup to pneumatic tires.
What Happens If You Get a Flat?
One advantage of this conversion is that future repairs can be relatively simple. If you get a flat tire, you will typically only need to replace the inner tube, provided the pneumatic tire itself has not been damaged or excessively worn.
This can make it easy to keep replacement Baja Bandit inner tubes on hand for future maintenance.
Does Pride Mobility Offer the Baja Bandit With Pneumatic Tires?
Currently, the Pride Mobility Baja Bandit does not come from the factory with pneumatic tires. The scooter is supplied with solid tires, so switching to air-filled tires is a conversion from the original factory configuration.
We recommend keeping your original Baja Bandit solid tires after completing the conversion. They make an excellent backup. If you experience a puncture, a damaged tube, or another issue with your pneumatic tires, you can switch back to the solid tires and keep your scooter operational.
