Choosing the Correct Hitch Adapter

Selecting the correct adapter requires taking a few simple measurements before ordering. Harmar uses three important measurements:

• HV – Distance from the ground to the bottom of the hitch receiver opening.
• D1 – Distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest point at the rear of the vehicle.
• D2 – Distance from the hitch pin hole toward the front of the vehicle. On many vehicles, the spare tire is the furthest forward point.

These measurements determine which adapter will provide the correct height and clearance for your specific vehicle.
