Best of 2025

That’s right. Time for our annual round-up of all the best products we have come across in 2025 that serve you best in your home when it comes to safety, mobility, convenience, and comfort. We have an impressive list this year so let’s get right to it.
In the arena of mobility, there have been so many positive upgrades in mobility engineering, design, and technology this past year. What we have seen this year is an overwhelming demand for mobility units that are lightweight and folded down.
The best manufacturers have had their ears to the ground and responded with incredibly positive innovations. Pride Mobility introduced a re-engineered, redesigned, carbon graphite upgrade to their Jazzy Carbon power wheelchair, originally introduced in 2023. The Pride Jazzy Carbon Ultralight power chair dropped ten pounds, rolled out two battery options, made the seat larger and more comfortable, and engineered a locking mechanism when folded. This power wheelchair can stand upright; great for long-term storage or packing in a luggage cramped SUV. The wheels are redesigned to be lighter, more shock absorbing, and have better grip. The new weight of the Pride Ultralight is an astounding 33 pounds! There are two battery options. The TSA approved 10Ah battery goes up to eight miles. The long range 20Ah battery will take you up to 16.4 miles. Pride added an on/off switch on the battery to help preserve battery life when your power mobility chair is not used for extended periods. They added a super comfortable contoured cushion that can be removed if you prefer sitting on the cooler mesh seating. People are buying the Carbon Ultralight like there is no tomorrow and so far, there have been no mechanical or technical issues. If there is a con, it is the joystick controller. It is a little jerky and, even at the lowest speed, a little faster than a newbie might be prepared for. Overall, our best new product for 2025!
Golden Technologies hit the mark as well. Golden took the traditional large, framed center wheel drive product and shrunk it 400%. The Golden BuzzAround CarryOn GP130 delivers size, functionality, practicality, and price in their all new powered wheel chair. Center wheel drive powered wheelchairs tend to be the best mobility powered wheelchairs because the turning radius is unmatched. The turning radius is equal to or less than the length of the powerchair itself. In this case that is 21.25.” We are not aware of another mobility power chair on the market that has this kind of tight turning radius. The benefit is that it can turn 180 degrees in most any room. This not only provides the greatest mobility in your home, but also in the smallest of stores. Buzzaround GP130 seat height is 21” and total height of the chair is 35.5”. It is smaller powered wheelchair but wonderfully comfortable and can fit someone up to 300 pounds (We usually recommend a 275lb weight cap on any mobility device that has a 300-pound stated weight limit.). One of the upgrades to this BuzzAround is the arm adjustability. The seat is a traditional 18” wide x 17” deep but the GP130 allows the arms to be manipulated out to a 20” width, seizing the day for comfort. Golden also utilizes the new armrest design for the new BuzzAround Carry On series. The new armrest looks better, is far sturdier, and provides greater armrest room. The GP130 power wheelchair also has articulating 5.5” casters at front and rear delivering a smoother ride over transitional surfaces. The Lithium-ion battery provides up to 12.5 miles of operational performance. It also comes with a full lighting package – front and rear. The seat is the same as the one for the GB220 Heavy Duty CarryOn. Remove the seat and, just like others in the CarryOn line, the seat frame folds down and locks in place. The frame has an easy grip surface for pickup and the unit weighs 46lbs. This is the only con to the BuzzAround Carry-On GP130 power wheel chair. Ideally, it would be 10 pounds lighter.
Our favorite new mobility scooter? Pride Mobility again takes the prize. Meet the Pride Go-Go Endurance AL+. Earlier in the year Pride introduced the Elite Traveller 2 power scooter. It has significant enhancements like EZ Turn technology, Charge 360, and an angle-adjustable tiller that you engage with your hand or foot. EZ Turn technology was introduced in 2024 by Pride in their larger scooters. It was called I-Turn at that time, and it gave a four-wheel power scooter the ability to turn like a three wheel. This innovation reduced turn radius for a larger four-wheel scooter by almost half. This was revolutionary. For all those that feared three-wheel ‘instability,’ they could finally have four-wheel stability in a 3-wheel powered scooter. Pride renamed it EZ Turn when they engineered it into the Go-Go series.
Ever had difficulties getting the pins on a charger to line up with the receiver on the underside of a scooter tiller? I know I have. Many times. I must bend down and crank my neck up to hook the charger cord up to the scooter. Charger 360 makes that old hat. Using a magnetic round surface on the scooter and another round magnet on the charger cord, all one must do is get the charger cord and the scooter receptacle close and they lock together. Magic! Not only that, but it also lights up to let you know there is a solid connection. Why it took so long to develop something that would have seemed logical is beyond us but hey, we didn’t think of it either. It makes charging a breeze now. Remember the old hand-dials at the bottom of the tiller that you had to unscrew to adjust/move the tiller? What if a pedal were placed on the tiller you could press with your foot or hand to move the tiller? How easy would that be? Take all these changes, add a Lithium-ion battery, and create a slick contemporary style and you have the Pride Mobility GoGo Endurance AL+. It is a sick combination of all the latest innovations at Pride Mobility in mobility scooter engineering and technology. The only con is that it is still old school for transport. It disassembles into four pieces for transport. However, unlike many disassemble scooters that have heavy parts, the heaviest part of the Endurance AL+ is 34.7 lbs. That is lighter than 95% of the fold-down scooters out there so it is still a win. We love the new Pride Mobility GoGo Endurance AL+. We think you might also!

When it comes to recliner lift chairs it was neck and neck between Pride and Golden. Though we love Golden Technology lift chairs, Pride edged out the new Golden products by a hair for best innovation in a lift chair of 2025. It was not new creature comfort features or more bells and whistles that took the prize. Quite the opposite. Pride took top prize for a simple but radical mechanical enhancement. They did it with Enhanced Three-Position. The new Pride Evolution chair series was released this year with this simple enhancement. For the first time in a premium recliner/lift chair, an individual can lift the leg rest up to a straight-out position without the back reclining. A lot of people like to sit straight up or near straight up in their medical recliner chair with their legs straight out. Now, this is possible with the Pride Evolution series. If the user keeps their hand on the recline button, the back will recline but only after the largest is fully extended. This is big for those that want a simple two-button chair that is comfortable and inexpensive. We have been asked about this feature forever and in the past, it could only be done with an infinite positioning chair, and a lot of buttons must be manipulated to get to that sweet spot. It is just a hassle. Additionally, infinite position chairs tend to be more expensive, so the Pride Evolution is perfect for those that consider that feature a ‘must-have.’
