Harmar Swing-Away allows an outside lift to be pivoted away from a vehicle to gain clear access to the trunk, lift gate or tailgate.
- A secure, easy-to-use latch assembly makes the Swing Away Option easy to use.
- Perfect for Sport utility vehicles, mini and full size vans, and vehicles with a hatchback.
- Harmar Light Weight swingaway - 25 lbs - can be used on all harmar lifts besides HD Models
- Hamar AL105 -R1 is about 40 pounds and can be used on all models and HD
When adding a swing-away to your Lift
The effective range of the hitch adapter depends on your vehicle hitch height and if you are adding a Swing-away feature to your lift. Measure Hitch to ground height If you have a height of 6" to 18" and not adding a swing-away option, you will be okay with the standard hitch that comes with the lift. If you have a hitch height from the ground of 6" to 16" and use a swing-away, you will not need a drop hitch adaptor.
You will need a drop hitch when its more significant than 19" to 23" Or if you are adding a swing-away from 17" to 21"
