Pride Mobility Go-Go Super Portable Travel Scooter Controller/Modular Replacement
The controller, often referred to as the modular, is the "brain" of your mobility scooter. While it’s designed to be durable and reliable, issues can occasionally arise. Most commonly, a fault code triggers a series of beeps, helping diagnose the problem. These beep codes often point to simple fixes, such as the scooter being in freewheel mode, the charger still being plugged in, or other non-replacement issues.
However, if your scooter isn’t functioning at all and there are no beep codes, the controller or module may need to be replaced. Before making this decision, thoroughly inspect all connections to ensure they’re securely plugged in and intact. If everything appears properly connected and the issue persists, it may be time to replace the module.
Good news: this part is covered under warranty for up to two years from the date of purchase. Contact the dealer where you purchased your scooter to confirm if you are still within the warranty period. If your unit is over two years old, a replacement will be required.
To make the process easier, we offer a step-by-step video guide on how to replace the controller or modular unit. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call—we’re here to help!
What is a "Modular" ?
In the context of a mobility scooter, the modular component—often referred to as the controller—is essentially the "brain" of the scooter. This critical part, also known as the power module or control module, serves as the operating system. It manages and regulates the electrical functions of the scooter, including the motor, braking system, and additional accessories, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.
